At the end of this session participants will:
- Understand the risk of VTE in medical inpatients and the goals of therapy
- Understand how VTE is identified in clinical trials of VTE prophylaxis
- Understand the evidence used to justify VTE prophylaxis as an Accreditation Canada Required Organizational Practice
- Understand the limitations of the aformentioned evidence.
