On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization officially designated Covid19 as a pandemic infection.  Two years later, we wish to acknowledge the extraordinary work since late 2019 of scientists, public health, health professionals, teachers and professors, essential workers, and all others throughout the world who have helped us all get through one of the most difficult global experiences in modern history.

In particular, we thank the following for their exceptional dedication and hard work of our British Columbia colleagues:

  • Dr. David Patrick and UBC colleagues (School of Population and Public Health)
  • The UBC/SFU Covid19 modeling group
  • All acute and long-term care health workers, immunizaters, and public health teams
