25 Mar 2022 The Therapeutics Initiative welcomes Dr. Anshula Ambasta
The Therapeutics Initiative is excited to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our team, Dr. Anshula Ambasta, who joins us from Calgary, bringing with her a deep research interest in healthcare quality and patient safety.
As a general internist and researcher, Dr. Ambasta will be adding much-needed bench strength to the Therapeutics Initiative’s team, working to improve prescribing and reducing low-value care. This vision is encapsulated in our motto: Better prescribing. Better health.
Her strong frontline experience will help us identify therapeutic priorities for our educational work including the Therapeutics Letter and the Prescribing Portrait. She’s particularly keen in helping the Therapeutics Initiative develop better and higher impact strategies for engagement and measurement, which are key to providing quality education to clinicians.
With her networks in internal medicine and UBC’s Faculty of Medicine, and her youthful enthusiasm, Dr. Ambasta will be a great contributor to our recently launched Portrait Online where BC family physicians can access direct meaningful data on their own prescribing. In the months and years expect to see the Therapeutics Initiative deploy a wider range of educational tools, modules and videos as well as point-of-care support tools.
You can read more about her bio on our Members Page.
Welcome aboard Anshula!
