There are many good reasons for judicious prescribing: better patient care, lower costs for patients and healthcare systems and reduced burden on providers. Another important reason that many of us never consider is the environmental “pill burden”. All this (and more) was discussed in a TI Best Evidence Webinar with Dr. Ilona Hale on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.

Dr. Hale is a rural family physician, Clinical Assistant Professor with the UBC Department of Family Practice, clinical researcher and director of the UBC Rural Scholar Program.
