SPEAKER: Jennifer Petkovic, Affiliate Investigator at the Bruyere Research Institute and Coordinator of the Campbell and Cochrane Health Equity Thematic Group and the MuSE Consortium.

About the topic: Systematic reviews play a crucial role in examining the complexities of health outcomes and experiences among diverse populations facing disparities. While average results may obscure these variations, systematic reviews can explore the robustness of findings across specific populations who may experience health inequity. Equity is defined as the absence of avoidable differences in health outcomes. In this webinar, we discussed how equity can be considered in evidence synthesis and how to include equity in the question formulation, planning the methods, and reporting a review.
