Thank you very much for such a great work.
I’m a medical student from Brazil and was really impressed with this website and inspired to create a similar initiative in my country.
I recently read Peter Gotzche’s book about Pharmaceutical industry and I was amazed how we can be manipulated by poorly designed studies and vested interests.
And knowing this happens in countries like yours makes me worry even more about what might happen in my country where unfortunately the industry’s influence is rampant.
I will check the references you recommended.
In addition, in order to start a similar project in my university, what steps would you suggest for me to take?
In terms of methodology of critical appraisal of the evidence, is there any book or reference you suggest especially with examples of Studies so we can practice this critical analysis?

I applaud the work of Therapeutics Initiative. I have attended 2 of your sponsored events in Nanaimo concerning the over prescribing of drugs. Bringing The Best Evidence To Clinicians in Jan. 2016, and Polypharmacy Reduction in Practice in Oct. 2015.

I read, Peter Gotzsche’s book, Deadly Medicines And Organized Crime. I am flabbergasted at the appalling rate our Canadian health care systems continue to fund these criminals (Industry). Thus, I think it critical for T.I. to continue doing your spectacular work!

I must add that I just came across an advertisement for one of you leading professors doing a lecture on a drug. Guess who he is in the back pocket of? That’s right, Industry.

There ott-to-be a law against this.
